I wonder if it'll also be him in the next series, I seem to remember he has only been the Stig for this past series (not that you would be able to tell if it was a different driver every week). At least they didn't kill him off this series (if you remember the "last" one went over the side of an aircraft carrier into the sea)! Wink

Perry Mcarthy was the first stig up until the 'Stig Is Dead' on the aircraft carrier episode where they killed him off. Perry wanted out so they replaced him.

He wore the black Stig uniform, new one is in white.

Rumoured to be a woman at the moment, most obvious choice is Sabine Schmidt.

Hhmmmm...... Clarkson always ends the sentence with: "All we know is, he's called The Stig".

But she's a nutjob enough to do it though. I'd like to see that - is she still driving the M5 Ring Taxi?

of course they do. Otherwise the cat would be out the bag, as it would not take much to guess then would it....plus then the whole Stig thing would be ruined.

I accept that, but they never stumble over it or have to think about he/she and not all the "Stars" are he sharpest blades in the toolbox Wink
If the Stig was a "she" I would have expected some slip-ups at some time during the series.
Having said all of that, it is pre-recorded so that knocks that theory on the head Embarassed
