Australia 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Stornoway Grey

We will be there. The Land Rover Club of the ACT is involved in the organisation. Our Club had a big showing at the 50th in 1998. It was a great event. Especially the combined group photo of around 700 LRs. I lead the convoy from Canberra to Cooma. It was interesting having a large number of Series 1s in convoy. Progress was slow, particularly up hills!

G'Day stephenw

It will be a great weekend.
I'll bring my RRS and my P38a and probably try to register one of the oldies.
This may even motivate me to rebuild one of the ex Snowy Scheme vehicles.....but no rash promises.
I will talk to you as events unfold
Cheers
Peter.

ps

perhaps we could get an accompanied tour of the Snowy Scheme going with SMA
I did this in the seventies and would love to do it again.
Anyone with a newer model could offer extra seats to the early model drivers.

Peter, sounds good. I'll keep you updated with any info I get. I'm not as active in the Club as I used to be. For the past two years I've been working in Sydney and commuting back to Canberra on the weekends so my time is quite precious.

LR UK haven't announced anything yet............................ if they aren't quick everybody will be booked up to attend other 60th anniversary bashes and won't be able to attend any "official" parties A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

TDv8 HSE - Stornoway Grey with ebony and straight grain walnut wood-a-like interior with towpack, Tasmods. The best car I have ever owned
Now departed - Giverny Green TDv6SE with Aspen and Parchment interior - nearly the best car I have ever owned
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

G'day Jim
The badges came with the grille and vent kit from Car Styling Studio.
Still trying to source interior, wheel and steering wheel badges at a reasonable price.
On re reading my signature I can see now that it implies ALL the badges......this is wrong so I have changed it
Cheers

Jim
Mine cost 799gbp and our dollar has gone up since then .
I purchased what they call a Java and Chrome full set.
I paid extra for dhl but that was a mistake as subsequent dealings have shown Royal Mail to be much cheaper and faster.
Expect to pay duty and gst on arrival in Australia.
All in all an expensive exercise but worth the effort imho.
Louise is my contact at Car Styling Studio and they have a shop on e-bay.uk
Great people to deal with.

Some further information
I also fitted a 'UK Chrome' (google them ) bling pack which comprises chrome door handle and tailgate lift handle chrome covers as well as a tailgate button surround and factory like chrome mirror tops.
I did this more from the point of view of keeping the car looking good without all these bits fading in the sun.
I have found that constantly feeding protectorant onto these parts results in paint streaks after rain.
I realize that many on this site will think this is over the top but I prefer the look and will live with it.
Anyway I always was a mug lair. Laughing Laughing
I have found that painting these items is not durable enough to withstand constant use.
When I have finished modifying the front end I will wash the car and post some photos.
If I look like a sinister drug dealer then so much the better as they are the ones that get some respect from the idiots. Twisted Evil
