MP3 input

Does anyone know whether the standard ICE has an input for a MP3 player? RRS 2.7 TDV6 SE Cairns Blue/Alpaca Leather

Their is an aux socket in the centre console, in front of the rear seats.

Having said that, the ICE plays MP3s, so I just loaded 60 albums on to 6 disks and put them in the stereo. Enough for me.

Just to add you'll need short lead with a 3.5mm headphone jack at both ends (from Maplins or the like) and you'll probably have to adjust the relative volume of the AUX source (hold down the tone button for 5 secs). Otherwise your MP3 player may sound very quiet or loud compared with the other sources. Range Rover Sport TdV6HSE in Bonatti Grey + 20" Stormer wheels (ex X5 and ML driver)

Maybe I'm clueless... but I didn't think the stereo had relative volume control beyond phone and voice. I know it can store "tone" settings for each source (called "source tone memory"), but I didn't notice a "source volume memory" option. In my experience, AUX (with device at maximum output) has a lower volume than CD or FM. The silly Automatic Volume Control (AVC) option that is speed sensitive sure isn't it.

I think you might be right. I must be thinking of the SatNav voice which was inaudible, to my confusion, until I got stuck into the bit about 'Navi Volume Offset' in the manual. Range Rover Sport TdV6HSE in Bonatti Grey + 20" Stormer wheels (ex X5 and ML driver)
